CUDOS Foundation Develops Groundbreaking Disaster Response Platform in Partnership with Mpowa

CUDOS Foundation, the humanitarian arm of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS) company, has announced its partnership with Mpowa, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. The partnership aims to develop a groundbreaking disaster response platform that leverages blockchain technology to provide end-to-end, real-time deployment of goods, services, and technology in affected communities in Africa.

The Managed Vendor Platform developed by Mpowa will be supported by CUDOS Foundation, and will enable first responders and other stakeholders to quickly and securely access critical information, including location data, status updates, and resource allocation. The platform will also provide transparency in disaster response by making the impact visible to all stakeholders.

Lee Woodham, Chairman of CUDOS Foundation and COO of CUDOVentures, expressed his pride in supporting Mpowa’s mission to create an innovative and transparent solution for disaster response.

“The successful implementation of this platform has the potential to save lives and alleviate suffering in communities affected by disasters,” he averred.

Ryan Lavelle, Founder and CEO of Mpowa, explained the disaster relief projects that the partnership is initiating in Malawi, Nigeria, and Uganda.

“These projects will provide clean technology such as solar-powered cooking stoves and water purification devices to stabilize and decarbonize the local environmental impact of displaced populations, ” he said.  “Mpowa’s plan is not only to support immediate disaster relief but also to follow up with infrastructure development projects once the local populations are stable and secure from disease and conflict, as in the case of the Democratic Republic of Congo.”

The partnership between CUDOS Foundation and Mpowa is a significant step towards creating an innovative and transparent solution for disaster response. With the deployment of the Managed Vendor Platform, first responders and other stakeholders can quickly and securely access critical information, ensuring a faster and more efficient response to disasters.

The platform’s transparency will make the impact visible to all stakeholders, and the disaster relief projects initiated by the partnership will not only support immediate relief but also long-term infrastructure development.
